The Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs football team flexed its offensive muscle in its spring game against Bartram Trail High School, but the Bulldogs fell short and lost the game, 41-33.

Bartram Trail reached the state semifinals last season.

The Bulldogs accumulated more than 300 yards on offense. Quarterback Colton Boyd was efficient, going 10-for-15 passing for more than 300 yards and two touchdowns.

Both of Boyd’s touchdown passes were more than 50 yards—one went 67 yards to junior wide receiver Willie Gardner and the other went 55 yards to junior Turrel Mathews.

Freshman backup QB Marcel Williams ran for three touchdowns in the second half. But the Bulldogs comeback bid fell short when they stalled on Bartram Trail’s nine-yard line as time expired.

Freshman running back Jimmie Robinson carried the ball 10 times for 60 yards.
