Many happy returns
12:36 p.m. — 100 Block of Cypress Point Parkway. Larceny Shoplifting. An employee advised he was doing his rounds when he observed a woman rummaging through the trash cans outside the store. She picked out several sales receipts and walked into the store. She then selected items from the shelf, including fishing tackle, and concealed them in a brown plastic bag. She presented the sales receipt to the customer service counter and returned the items she removed from the shelf, which totaled a value of $28.20.
The suspect admitted to the employee that she had done the same thing the day before and had more receipts in her vehicle. She retrieved the receipts and returned them.
The suspect was issued criminal charges for theft, as well as a trespass warning. She was placed under arrest and given a notice to appear, then she was released and escorted off the property.

A sobering experience
7:25 p.m. — First Block of Bradmore Lane. Intoxication. A group of individuals refused to cooperate or provide any information other than they had been consuming alcohol on this date. After more discussion, two officers prepared to clear the scene when they heard yelling coming from behind the residence.
In the back of the residence, a suspect was found standing in the middle of Belle Terre Parkway. He was almost struck by oncoming traffic and caused several other vehicles to crash. A deputy physically removed him from the roadway, and he was arrested for disorderly intoxication.
The suspect was observed to have an unsteady gait, slightly slurred speech and a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his breath and person. He was transported to the Flagler County Inmate Facility without incident and processed.
