The Flagler Palm Coast High School Air Force JROTC held its annual Dining Out Saturday, March 4.

The Dining Out is a traditional military function which spouses, friends and civilians are invited to attend. Traditionally, these ceremonies are held to recognize individual and unit achievements and to build morale.

It is also an opportunity for high-schoolers to see a formal military function, as most of them won’t get the chance, said Chief Master Sgt. Jim Wainscott.

The program has been active at FPC since 1993 and has totaled 1,400 hours of community service hours.

Patrick Favale, U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, spoke at the event.
