Parents learn healthy eating tips

The Super Striders, a nonprofit group devoted to combating childhood obesity, discussed healthy eating on a budget Saturday, March 3. Nine families attended the event, which combined an information session for parents and an excersie center for children. Flagler Organics, a food-buying club, spoke about the importance of getting to know your food and where it comes from.

“By getting children more involved in the process, you’re (transforming) a new generation of eating,” said Carrie Russell, of Flagler Organics.
