Out of the woods
5:58 p.m. — First Block of Ryding Lane. Burglary-Investigate. A victim stated that he came home and found that his laptop and Xbox had been stolen. Two officers conducted a perimeter check of the wooded areas surrounding his residence and were able to locate an Xbox, Dell tower, two keyboards, several canceled credit cards and a roll of speaker wire. These items were later found to belong to the victim. However, he stated that he was still missing the laptop valued at $979, six Xbox controllers valued at $240, an Xbox power cord valued at $40 and a computer mouse valued at $11. Fingerprint tests inside the residence were met with negative results.

5:56 p.m. — 100 Block of Cypress Point Parkway. Larceny-Shoplifting. An employee advised that he observed a woman select several makeup items in the health and beauty department and walk with them into the jewelry department. She looked at the store surveillance cameras and appeared to be nervous.
She then selected a box of jewelry and walked to the women’s department where she concealed all the merchandise in a shopping bag. The woman exited the store without paying for the items, which had a total value of $72.40. She was charged with petit retail theft and released with a notice to appear.

Dirty business
3:31 p.m. — 2000 Block of County Road 90. Larceny. A student victim stated that while at the mud run at Mud Muckers, an unknown person stole her iPod and school identification. It occurred sometime between 2 and 11:30 p.m. Saturday, March 3. The value of the iPod is $150, and there are no suspects or witnesses at this time.
