MARCH 4
Supplemental income
1:53 p.m. — 100 Block of Cypress Point Parkway. Larceny shoplifting. An employee stated that as he was making his rounds, he observed a woman take a box of dietary supplements from a shelf. The woman then took a second box of supplements, removed the contents, and placed them inside the first box she had taken.
She then placed the empty box back on the shelf, walked into the shoe department and concealed the items in a shopping bag.
The suspect continued to shop, then proceeded to the checkout counter where she paid for some of her goods. She made no attempt to pay for the concealed items.
When the woman exited the store, she was approached by the employee and escorted to the asset protection office. It was found that in addition to the extra supplements, she had also concealed a pack of oil scent refills, a wrap and a coat.
The total value of the items was $55.64. The store wishes to press charges.
DENT TO SOCIETY
FEB. 28
Making an impression
8:46 p.m. — 3000 Block of Old Kings Road. Property damage. A complainant advised that she arrived to work at approximately 3 p.m. on this date and parked her vehicle in the staff parking lot. When her husband arrived later, at approximately 8:30 p.m., he observed that the front driver’s side door had two medium-sized dents, one near the handle and another at the bottom. The vehicle is brand new, purchased only a couple of weeks prior.
It does not appear the damage was caused by another vehicle due to the spacing and location of each dent. It may have been caused by someone or something striking the vehicle. The estimated cost of the damage is $500. There were no witnesses and no physical evidence on the vehicle as to what caused the damage. Surveillance camera footage will be reviewed for cause and suspects.
