Jim Guines turns 80

Former Flagler County School Board member Jim Guines celebrated his 80th birthday Feb. 26 with his wife, LaVerne, and his daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Ervin Blowe. About 20 people visited him at the Grand Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center, where Guines is recovering from a stroke.

Guines is an active member of the Flagler County Rotary Club.
