Flagler Palm Coast plated three runs in the first inning Fright night, but the Bulldogs weren’t able to hang on as they lost to Sandalwood, 7-5, in a District 1-8A matchup.

FPC (8-8) will likely be the third seed in next month’s district tournament while Sandalwood will be the No. 1 seed.

After jumping out to a 3-0 lead, the Bulldogs went quiet until the fifth inning. Sandalwood plated one run in the second inning and then two runs in the fourth, sixth and seventh innings. The Bulldogs got one run across in the bottom of the seventh but couldn’t keep the rally going.

Josh Greiner went 3-for-4 with four RBIs for the Bulldogs. Greiner, the team’s starting third baseman, had three doubles and scored a run. Lorenza Williams went 2-for-4 with one run scored.
