The 19th-annual Taste of Flagler, presented by the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates, found a new home in Central Park at Town Center Monday, April 30.
The food festival, which has been held the past two years at The Conservatory Golf Club, featured menu items from 12 Flagler County restaurants. Rebecca DeLorenzo, executive vice president of the chamber, said the new location will allow for future expansion of the event.
Another change to the event this year was that attendees acted as the judges, by casting votes for each category. The people chose the following winners: People’s Choice, Atlantic Grille at Hammock Beach Resort; Best Appetizer, Pine Lakes Restaurant; Best Entree, A1A Burrito Works; and Best Dessert, Captain’s BBQ at Bings Landing.
Other participating restaurants were The Big Easy Café, Cornerstone Café at Florida Hospital Flagler, Cypress Knoll Restaurant, Europa Bistro Lounge & Restaurant, Great American Grille at Hilton Garden Inn, Kokoro Sushi Bar and Japanese Grille, Larry’s Italian Deli and Woody’s Bar-B-Q. Flagler Spirits also provided spirit samples.
