Veterans Park overflowed Friday May 4, at the First Friday event put on by the city of Flagler Beach.

Music was provided by the U.S. Navy Band Pride, Captain Nick and the Bunnell Elementary School vocal and jam band.

This month’s event also featured Foods of the World, something that started as a Community Problem Solving project for Taylor Tofal three years ago.

“I never thought it would be this good,” said Tofal, who is now in college. “It gets harder to organize, but I feel like it’s an important thing to raise awareness (of world hunger) because we waste so much food.”

Proceeds from Foods of the World benefit the United Nations World Food Programme.
