Washkevics celebrate 60th wedding anniversary

Victor and Olga Washkevic celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary May 11.

The two were both born in Manhattan, N.Y., where they went to school kindergarten though 12th grade. They met at a church dance, got married and moved to Louisiana, where Victor was stationed at an air base.

The couple now lives in Palm Coast, but they plan to visit Manhattan soon. Victor said he misses the street food.
