All gun and games?
6:19 p.m. — 100 Block of Wellwood Lane. Larceny. The reporting party advised that someone entered his house and took a 12-gauge shotgun.
Another reporting party advised that a male entered her room in the residence and stole the gun. The suspect advised that he didn’t want the gun in the residence and took it because of the children who lived there.
Contact was made with the reporting party, who refused to respond back to the residence to assist law enforcement with the investigation. He advised that he only wanted the weapon back, and if he received it then he wouldn’t press charges.
The other reporting party advised that she would get the weapon back and return it to the owner at his mother’s residence.

6:19 p.m. — 3000 Block of County Road 2006. Burglary-Investigate. A property care taker for a mortgage company stated that someone broke into a residence between May 2 and May 9. He stated that he is in charge of the cleanup of this residence, and when he arrived on this date he noticed that someone had broken the front door handle off the front door of the residence and made entry into the home. He advised that someone stole the outside air conditioner unit and also started to disassemble the inside unit.
The area around the front door and door handle were dusted for fingerprints but yielded negative results. Nothing further to report at this time.

6:07 p.m. — 100 Block of Bird of Paradise Drive. Larceny-Motor Vehicle. A victim stated that sometime between midnight and 8 a.m. an unknown suspect entered his vehicle and stole his friend’s wallet. The black leather wallet contained a driver’s license, an ID card and credit cards. The owner of the vehicle stated that the vehicle was left unlocked and the passenger window was open all night. Nothing else was stolen or missing. Neither of the victims was able to provide suspect information or direction of travel, and there were no physical evidence or fingerprints.

10:59 a.m. — 6000 Block of State Road 100 West. Burglary-Commercial. A caretaker stated he was watching over a property while the owner was on vacation. He stated that someone cut the locks off the main gate to the residence and made entry through the gate. He advised they also cut the locks off two storage containers located at the back of the property, and that there were unknown paintings missing from the residence.
There were approximately 15 chain saws missing from one of the storage containers, but nothing appeared to be missing from the other.
The reporting party stated he found the door leading to the inside of the art gallery unlocked. He advised there were two paintings missing off the wall; however, a test for fingerprints could not be conducted because of the chances of contaminating the artwork inside the gallery.
