More than 30 elementary, middle and high school students took the stage Thursday, May 24, for the 2012 Spotlight on Flagler Youth Talent Show, held at the Flagler Auditorium.

The annual event, held by the Flagler County Youth Center, raised funds for the Carver Community Center, in Bunnell.

Out of 11 acts in the junior division, homeschooler Amanda Lee Pikowski was named Junior Entertainer of the Year, for her ballet performance. Eric Dangerfield, of Belle Terre Elementary, won second place for his rendition of The Jackson 5’s “I’ll be there,” and Kali Nina Cobb, of Old Kings Elementary, won third place singing “Hurt.”

Twenty-one acts competed in the senior division, which named homeschooler Xavier Ryan Senior Entertainer of the Year, for his piano performance. Adam Pryor, of Matanzas High, won second place for singing Jason Mraz’s “Sunshine Song,” and Felicity Furtado, of Flagler Palm Coast High, won third place for singing “Don’t Know Why.”
