Roommate suspected in minivan theft
12:15 p.m. — First Block of Burroughs Drive. Stolen Vehicle. A victim advised law enforcement that her minivan was stolen from her driveway while she was sleeping. The last time the van was seen was the previous night when she had returned home from the grocery store. The minivan is white and worth approximately $5,500.
She believes her roommate stole the vehicle, and that he took the keys while she slept. He had not been home since the night before the incident and does not own a vehicle. The victim also stated that they were being evicted today and that her roommate ran out on her.
A quick neighborhood canvas was conducted, but the van could not be located. The roommate’s cell phone number had been disconnected.

Since then, the suspect has not returned the property and will not return the victim’s phone calls, and so the victim is pressing charges.
