Women need specific care, and Dr. Steven J. Brown, at the Palm Coast Women’s Center, has focused his medical practice on those needs.
With his wife, Christie Brown, as his business manager, and seven employees that includes a nurse practitioner, Brown specializes in gynecological issues, including hormone replacement therapy for menopause and surgical and nonsurgical options for urinary incontinence. HRT therapy includes the option of bioidentical hormone replacement, an individualized treatment for each patient.
“A lot of women prefer the more natural treatment tailored for them specifically,” said Christie Brown.
Dr. Steven J. Brown has grown with the community since he was first employed by Memorial Hospital in 1998. In 2000, he opened his private practice and currently serves as chief of staff at Florida Hospital Flagler. He's also Board Certified and one of the founding members of the Town Center Medical Building, at 21 Hospital Drive.
Brown is involved in community education as an adjunct professor for third- and fourth-year medical students at Florida State University, as a speaker for organizations and makes guest appearances on WNZF’s “Ask the Doctor” radio show.
“He does a lot of interaction with community-based education and speaks with many groups,” Christie Brown said. “He loves teaching the kids.”
