Professionals host safety festival
Coldwell Banker Premier Properties hosted a fall safety festival on Oct. 23 for the Montessori School and for Les Petite Pied Christian Academy.

CB Real Estate agents Rosalie Doreste, Cathy Heighter-Moore, Jonita McCree, Pat Denvir, Kathy McEnaney and Rasa Siulte arrived at the Montessori School armed with bags filled with items, some of them donated by Publix, like snacks, coloring books and pens for the children.

Pat and Jack Denvir hand-delivered pumpkins prior to the event, which the children were able to decorate. The top three pumpkins were given gift certificates donated by Books-a-Million.

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office gave a motorcycle demonstration, including a  with a cone obstacle course. The festival also included an appearance from a K-9 unit and a helmet safety demonstration from the Sheriff’s Office. The office offers free helmets for children accompanied by their parents to their office at 17-D Old Kings Road N.

+Change Jar Books relocates
Change Jar Books, a Flagler Beach used book store, is in the process of moving to a bigger building. The store has a tentative reopen date of Nov. 9 at its new location at 206 S. Daytona Ave., in Flagler Beach. Since the store has more space for inventory, its owners plan to eventually expand their offerings to include new books and well as book rentals. Call 693-4863.
