Well, this day was a wash
5:13 p.m. — First Block of Yonge Street. Disturbance. An Ormond Beach man called the police department to report a disturbance at his residence. Two friends had come over to hang out and do laundry and the man became agitated with one and wanted him to leave. The friend wouldn't leave because he had to finish his laundry. The friend was standing in the doorway, refusing to leave, when the man tried pushing him out the door. Both men fell into the home and crashed into a table.
When police arrived, the man was angry that they hadn't gotten there early enough to arrest his friend. Police spoke with the third man at the home, who they said was intoxicated. He wasn’t able to provide the police with any accurate information.
The homeowner was on the phone during the investigation, yelling about how the police were no help. The man went into his home and slammed the door shut. Officers told the man they could help him trespass his friend, but he slammed the door shut again.

Dog: 1; Mailman: 0
4:01 p .m. — 600 Block of Andrews Street. Animal bite. A mail carrier approached a home and was greeted by its resident. The resident’s dog, which wasn’t on a leash, came out of the home and jumped on the mail carrier, tearing his shirt pocket and putting a hole in his shorts. The mail carrier sustained two minor puncture wounds to his stomach area, as well as a long scratch to his left leg. The reporting officer said if the mail carrier didn’t have his wallet in his front pocket, the dog would’ve bit him on his thigh, where a hole in his shorts was made. The mail carrier’s wounds were treated on scene. The dog is currently on its rabies vaccinations.
