Michael Eric Canaday, a 44-year-old Palm Coast man, was sentenced yesterday to 30 years in prison on charges of sexual activity with a child and to 15 years in prison for molestation of a child in Putnam County.
A Putnam County jury found Canaday guilty in August of sexual activity with a child, a first-degree felony, and lewd of lascivious molestation of child between the age of 12 and 16 years old, a second-degree felony.
Canaday would go into the child’s bedroom and wake up the child when he molested her in a home in Putnam County.
CIrcuit Judge Carlos E. Mendoza sentenced the defendant to concurrent terms.
