For as long as Creekside Festival has been around, it has included a photo contest with a $500 scholarship as its first place prize.
Although the contest was originally open to the public, in 2011 the Flager County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates, which sponsors both Creekside Festival and the photo contest, changed the rules so only local high school students can enter, according to Edson Beckett, photography and graphic design instructor at Flagler Palm Coast High School.
The scholarship prize is funded by the chamber. Here are some of the entries in this year's contest.
