This Weekend: Jazz on the beach

Bring lawn chairs and enjoy the music of The Legendary Tom Cellie Quintet 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6 at Veterans Park in Flagler Beach.

Donations will be collected at this free sunset jazz concert to raise money for a Flagler Beach Ocean Rescue ATV. 

Other events this weekend are ...
Dining & Dancing — 5:30-7 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus, 51 Old Kings Road N.

First Friday — 6-9 p.m. at Veterans Park in Flagler Beach. There will be live music and a pumpkin-decorating contest.

Pro-AM Surf Competition — 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6 and Sunday, Oct. 7, at Southside Flagler Beach Pier. There will be a corn hole and tug-of-war tournament. Benefits the Little Miss Flagler Hannah Blevins food drive. Take $5 off entry with the donation of a nonperishable food item. 

Creekside Festival — 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, at Pellicer Creek. There will be live bluegrass music, kayak tours, arts and crafts vendors, a photo contest and exhibition for high school students, delicious and diverse food offerings, children’s activities and more in a picturesque rural setting. Flagler Fun Coast Bed Race — 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Veterans Park in Flagler Beach. Parade to begin at 3 p.m., race begins at 4 p.m. Hosted by Flagler Volunteer Services and the Kiwanis Club of Flagler County. Visit www.FlaglerFunCoastBedRace.org.

Gala Concert – 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Palm Coast United Methodist Church, 5200 Belle Terre Parkway. Featuring master pianist Elena Ulyanova. Tickets are$25 per person, $5 for students.
