Tara Lacasse, daughter of Bob and Jennifer Lacasse, of Bunnell, and Bobby Malesra, son of Edul and Maharukh Malesra, of Palm Coast, married Sept. 2, at Plantation Bay.
Both grew up in Palm Coast and graduated from Flagler Palm Coast High School.
The rest of their life together began on the seventh anniversary of their relationship, when after dinner in St. Augustine, Bobby led Tara to the “Love Tree,” an oak tree with a palm tree growing through the center. Legend says that if you kiss under this tree, you will stay together forever. Of course, the two had kissed under it years ago. This time, under the tree, Bobby got down on one knee and proposed.
Palm Coast man earns doctorate
Steve Woodsmall, of Palm Coast, recently completed his doctor of philosophy degree in organization and management from Capella University, in Minnesota.
His dissertation research focused on transformational leadership and organizational effectiveness. Woodsmall, who graduated cum laude, retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1993 and is currently a consultant at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, in Washington, D.C.
FPC student receives national honor
The National Society of High School Scholars recently announced that Flagler Palm Coast High School student Ashli C. Phillips has been selected for membership.
The society recognizes top scholars and invites students who have achieved academic excellence.
