FPC tops Matanzas in three games

Flagler Palm Coast High School volleyball improved its record to 7-13 Oct. 18, beating Matanzas High School (2-14), three games to none,in the last regular season game for both teams.

Both teams started out strong, battling through a 30-minute Game 1, in which Matanzas held the lead for half the time on the court, but FPC pulled out the 30-28 win. The Bulldogs also won Games 2 and 3 of the cross-town matchup, 25-22 and 25-19.

This was the second time the schools have met this season. The Bulldogs also won the first match.

FPC will travel to Mandarin, and Matanzas will travel to Ponte Vedra Oct. 23 for district play.
