+New vintage store hits Flagler Beach

Sweet Pea Vintage & Urban Findings celebrated its opening Oct. 20 by donating a part of its proceeds from the day’s business to the Flagler County Food Bank. The store has already been operating online at www.sweetpeavintage.com for several months, but now, it’s expanded to a physical store as well.The store offers new and gently used clothing.

“I have a passion for finding everything from classic dresses to name-brand apparel to party outfits and eclectic accessories,” said Doreen Armstrong, owner of the store.

+Smiles acquires cancer screening system

Smiles on Cypress Point recently incorporated the VELscope oral cancer screening system into its practice. +Remax Select Professionals name agent of the month, complete training programs

Jim Walden, of Remax Select Professionals, was named agent of the month for September. Walden has consistently been a top producer for the company since joining them in May at their Palm Coast office.

Tammy Colpoys, of Remax Select Professionals, just completed the curriculum required to
achieve the designation of Graduate Realtor Institute.

In addition, realtors Carmine Pantuso,Tammy Colpoys, Ricardo Veloso, Patty Christman and Walden have completed a 14-week training course with Tom Ferry, a national real estate educator.

+Moo Do offers community wellness course

Moo Do Academy of Martial Arts is offering free sessions every Sunday in November and December on several of the wellness practices offered at its studio, including karate, yoga, tai chi, qi gong, meditation and acupressure.

Sessions begin Nov. 4, and are offered at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Donations accepted.

+Attorney completes Life Care Planning program

The Life Care Planning Law Firms Association, a national network of holistic elder law practices, has
announced that elder law attorney Scott Selis has completed a workshop in Life Care Planning services called The Elder-Centered Law Practice — Life Care Planning for the Elderly. The workshop helps families respond to challenges created by the long-term illness or disability of an elderly loved one, with a focus on using the elder’s money to maximize quality of life and independence — often well before the nursing home care is needed — while preserving family wealth to the greatest extent possible.

+Flagler Beach seeks vendors for new festival

The City of Flagler Beach is hosting its first annual Holiday Gift Fair Dec. 8 and 9 and is taking applications for vendor space at the event.
