The Florida Agricultural Museum opened the 6th-annual Haunted Trails this weekend drawing 1,200 visitors.
“Not only is it a fun event that the community enjoys, it’s a fundraiser for the museum,” said Bruce Piatek, museum director. “This type of event introduces a broader audience to what we have to offer out here.”
One of the greatest supports, Piateck said, comes from the community. Two community members who specifically stand out to him are Jeff Mullinex, leader of the haunted trail and Charlie Umpenhour, who with his family and friends put together the haunted house.
“They do an outstanding job,” Piatek said. “We are very fortunate that we have folks in this community that want to give back and support us.”
The Hunted Trails will continue 6-10 p.m., Friday, Oct. 26, and Saturday, Oct. 27. Cost is $10. Attendees are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes.
