Palm Coast resident Faye Dadzie spends time bringing aid to communities around the country with her ministry, Victorious Life Ministry. Her goal is to find domestic areas that are somewhat disadvantaged, reach out to pastors in the area and bring them some relief in the form of a prayer walk and community day.

This weekend, those efforts were directed to Bunnell, in an event held Saturday at Bunnell City Hall.

“I prayed about it, and Bunnell just seemed natural to me for a number of reasons,” Dadzie said.

Her ministry partnered with Glory Unlimited Ministries International, of Texas, to bring a day that included medical screenings for high blood pressure and glucose levels, Christ-centered children’s crafts and counseling stations. On a need basis, attendees were also given free school supplies, sanitary supplies, diapers, T-shirts, toiletries and new shoes for children.

“The goal is to encourage people in this community to love on them, to witness to them about the love of Christ and hopefully to brighten their day a little bit,” Dadzie said. “We felt that we could encourage people and let them know that they were not forgotten. It was important for us to be present in Bunnell, and the pastors who were already working in ministry here agreed.”

But Dadzie doesn’t want this to be a one-stop event. While she believes that the pastors who already do work in Bunnell do great work, Dadzie sees a broader perspective that she and her ministry can bring to the community.
