The Flagler Habitat for Humanity will host “Framing our Future,” a building day of framing, camaraderie and giving back 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2 and Thursday, oct. 4, at 47 Beckner Lane.

The Sept. 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance is the culmination of an effort originally launched in 2002 by 9/11 family members and support groups, who worked to establish the charitable service day as a forward-looking way to honor 9/11 victims, survivors, and others who rose up in service in response to the attacks.

Habitat for Humanity seeks 30 volunteers to participate. They are especially looking for veterans, active-duty military, those impacted by 9/11, or those who just want to give back in remembrance. To sign up to volunteer, call 586-6180. All volunteers will receive complimentary lunch and T-shirt.

The day’s schedule is as follows:
8 a.m. — open devotions
8:15 a.m. — construction begins
12:15 p.m. — lunch
3 p.m.  — closing of construction site
