Veterans Park played host to Flagler Beach’s first arts and crafts festival Saturday, Sept. 1, and Sunday, Sept. 2. The festival drew artists from around the North Florida area, including New Smyrna Beach and Palatka.

Althought the first event was small, the hope is that this festival grows throughout the years and becomes a Flagler Beach tradition.

Flagler Beach will also host its monthly First Friday Music in the Park event 6-9 p.m. Sept. 7. It will feature the Navy jazz ensemble Orion as the headliner. There will also be a Corvette cruise-in. September is also pet month, so the event will feature pet clinics, photos and a pet parade.
