+Economic development manager resigns
Greg Rawls, economic development manager for Flagler County, is leaving his position to do economic development work in another county. Rawls resigned Aug. 27, and yesterday was his last day at the county’s Department of Economic Opportunity.
“Greg’s been an asset to the community for a number of years, and while we’re going to miss him, this is a great opportunity for him to take on new challenges,” said Helga van Eckert, director of the Department of Economic Opportunity for Flagler County.
Rawls served as executive director of the former Enterprise Flagler before working to develop his current department.
+Flagler Beach Curves offers free 30-day membership
Curves’ annual “Not for Sissies” celebration, which started Sept. 3 and runs through the 18th, gives current Curves members a chance to showcase the strength they’ve gained through the program.
Non-members who come to the Flagler Beach curves before Sept. 18 will be given a free 30-day membership to Curves to prove that Curves members are tough. The celebration culminates in an event on Sept. 18, in which members and nonmembers will walk over the Flagler Bridge and celebrate their success at a luncheon at Hurricane Patty’s. The event starts at noon.
+Home Instead gains team member, branches
Home Instead Senior Care announced recently that Michele Morgan has joined its Palm Coast office as a community service representative. Morgan comes to Home Instead with a 20-year background in sales and marketing.
Morgan is replacing Deborah Ronson, who has been appointed general manager of two Home Instead franchises in Cincinnati. With this new acquisition, the Jacksonville-based franchise of Home Instead Senior Care now provides services to six counties. Home Instead is located at 1 Hargrove Grade Suite 1c.
+Family Focus Medical Center relocates to Florida Hospital Flagler
Family Focus Medical Center, a family practice run by Yolanda Lucas, moved Sept. 3, from its former location at 700 E. Moody Blvd. to a suite inside Florida Hospital Flagler. The new address for Family Focus Medical is 61 Memorial Medical Center Parkway, Suite 3802.
Lucas completed her residency at Community East Hospital of Indianapolis and is board certified in Family Practice.
Family Focus Medical Center is open to patients of all ages, from infants to adults, and accepts most insurance plans. The office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday 8:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Family Focus Medical Center can be reached at (386) 437-2481.
+Radiology Associates expands cardiac services
Radiology Associates Imaging had added echocardiography to its cardiac imaging program in Flagler County. The program already includes 3 Telsa MRI Cardiac, CTA Coronary and nuclear stress testing.
The technology is being interpreted by specialized radiologists, including Dr. Erik Tocci.
Palm Coast Imaging and Town Center Imaging have been serving Flagler County for almost two decades and are part of a network owned and operated by Radiology Associates Imaging Centers.
