FPC volleyball digs pink for breast cancer awareness
The Flagler Palm Coast High School volleyball will host a Dig Pink event Monday, Oct. 1, at its home game against Mainland High School.

The junior varsity game will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by varsity at 6:30 p.m.

This fall, thousands of teams from around the country will be participating in the Side-Out Foundation’s Dig Pink National Breast Cancer Awareness Rally. Middle school, high school and college teams will promote breast health education in the community as well as raise funds to further research.

Dig Pink events give spectators the opportunity to become involved by making donations to the cause and by pinking out the events by donning pink to show their support. Dig Pink event T-shirts will be sold at the event for $10. Admission will be $5. There will also be a bake sale and giveaways.

The proceeds from all donations will benefit the Side-Out Foundation, a national 501(c)3 nonprofit organization located in the Washington, D.C., area.
