Amanda Arnett, daughter of Linda and Virgil Arnett, of St. Augustine, and Ernie Edwards, son of Ray and Fran Edwards, of Hastings, recently got engaged.
It all began for the couple in January 2009 when they ran into each other after not seeing one another for months. They had both had crushes on each other the summer before but had not known it.
The two began spending time together immediately and officially began dating March 9, 2009. They had not been dating long when Ernie blurted out, "I love you," and the words were quickly returned.
Three years later, Ernie dropped to one knee and swept Amanda off her feet with the question, "Will you marry me?”
They are planning to wed March 9, 2013, and are eager to begin their journey together as soul mates.
