In this edition of Cops Corner, a classic case of pizza-down-the-pants; and, probation shmrobation.

March 29
Bon ap-petit theft
3:33 p.m. — First Block of South Yonge Street. Petit theft. The defendant entered the gas station, “took possession of a pizza and stuffed it down his pants,” according to the report, then left without paying.
After officers contacted the defendant, he became “very hostile,” and was placed in handcuffs, an officer reported. The officer patted down the defendant and found a mini pizza box down his pants.
Dispatch had also received a call about an intoxicated male begging for money at the gas station, according to the report.
The gas station indicated it wanted to pursue charges.
March 30
The karaoke defense
10:46 p.m. — 200 Block of North U.S. 1. Violation of probation. The defendant was at a local bowling alley's bar, consuming alcohol, which is in direct violation of his probation terms.
He knew he wasn’t supposed to be there, but his girlfriend wanted to sing karaoke, he told police. The defendant then struck the bartender during an alternation about how the he was going to pay his bill.
He was transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail.
