Since November 2009, the Flagler County Marine Corps League Detachment 876 has shipped more than 123 packages to Marines who are stationed overseas and who have a connection to Flagler County.

The contents of the packages include items like beef jerky, drink mix, sunflower seeds, ramen noodles, baby wipes, hand sanitizers, lotion and foot powder.

The group is seeking more names to ship to. If you live in Flagler County, and you know a Marine who is serving in Afghanistan or Iraq, call Jack Marshall at 585-0847 with their name and address.
