Kids probably don't need a reason to hop on a tricycle and have some fun, but students at Open Arms Preschool had a pretty good one on Friday.

The students grabbed their helmets and put their feet to the pedals to participate in the school's 20th-annual Trike-a-Thon for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Over the past 20 years, the school, which is located at Shepherd of the Coast Lutheran Church, has raised about $16,500 for the hospital.

The goal for this year was to make it to $20,000. Since money was still coming in, the final collection total had not been determined as of Monday afternoon.
