A Bunnell woman was arrested Wednesday after shooting at two men attempting to repossess her 2005 Ford Mustang.
At around 1:30 p.m., two representatives from Florida Recovery Systems arrived at Victoria Higgins’ house on Mahogany Boulevard, according to a charging affidavit. The men backed their tow truck into the driveway of the residence in attempt to remove Higgins’ vehicle from the premises when Higgins came out the front door carrying a .22 caliber bolt-action rifle in her hands.
She told the two men to leave her property before pointing the rifle directly at one of the men, the affidavit says. The two men returned to their tow truck and exited the driveway, but before the second man was inside the vehicle, Higgins fired a shot in the ground near both of the victims, according to the affidavit.
Higgins was arrested on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and booked into the Flagler County Inmate Facility on $10,000 bond.
