Flagler County Sheriff’s detectives are seeking the public assistance in identifying two women who are suspected of stealing credit cards and cash from residents at a Palm Coast assisted living facility.
Deputies are investigating one theft which occurred July 22 at Las Palmas on Town Court and then three others that occurred at the same facility the next day.
Detectives believe that in all four incidents, the residents were out of their rooms having lunch when the thieves took the opportunity to enter the empty rooms and go through purses and wallets inside.
A suspect in the incidents was videotaped using one of the victim’s credit cards at a store in Palm Coast. Ormond Beach police are investigating similar incidents in their city and have produced a video showing another woman using the same stolen credit card as the Palm Coast suspect did. The two women are believed to be working together.
Anyone who can identify these women are asked to contact the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office at 586-4801 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-277-2488. You can remain anonymous and you could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
