Three Ohio residents were arrested early Friday morning on a variety of charges in connection with the burglary of a commercial establishment in Bunnell.
Murphy Chandler Shaw III, Michael Andrew Petit and Haley Harger were booked into the Flagler County Inmate Facility on charges related to the crime.
The foreman of Truss Sytems called deputies at 3:52 a.m. Friday and said he had seen someone inside the business office. Deputies arrived at the business and established a perimeter around the outside of the building as they awaited the arrival of K-9.
While outside of the building, deputies were advised that a motion alarm from inside the building had been received. Deputies and K-9 entered the building but were unable to locate anyone. Deputies then began a check of the outside of the building and located a ladder propped up near a window.
Deputies then conducted a check of the property outside of the building. Deputies and K-9 located one subject hiding in brush near the fence line of the Florida East Coast Railway train tracks. The subject was taken into custody after sustaining a minor bite from the K-9. The subject was later treated and released. A second subject was also taken into custody after deputies discovered him also hiding in the brush. Deputies later arrested the female subject when she returned to the area to pick up the two male subjects.
Shaw and Petit are each being held on $22,550 bail for charges of armed burglary, possession of burglary tools, grand theft, theft from a coin-operated vending machine and resisting arrest without violence. Hargar is being held on $15,000 bond on a charge of being principal to burglary in the first degree.
