Naval Petty Officer Jonathan Goehring, a 2010 Matanzas High School graduate, was recently promoted to the rank of E4 at his graduation ceremony last week and received his station orders for Hawaii.
He is an Aircrew member of the P3 Orion Aircraft.
FPC Alumni Association to hold first Alumni Weekend
The Flagler Palm Coast High School Alumni Association will hold its first Alumni Weekend Aug. 30-31 beginning with a Friday night tailgate for the first home football game of the season. Event schedule is as follows:
Friday Night Tailgating — 5-6:30 p.m. Aug. 30, at Woody’s Bar-B-Q for pre-game appetizers. Alumni must attend this event to purchase a discount admission bracelet which will allow for reserved seating in the grand stands for the game. The game starts at 7 p.m. in the Bulldog Football Stadium.
Saturday Beach Day—10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 31, on Flagler Beach across from the Golden Lion. Bring beach gear and refreshments and enjoy a family day in the sun and surf.
Saturday Night Alumni Social — 6:30-10 p.m. Aug. 31, at Bunnell City Hall. BYOB and bring an appetizer.
All events are free of charge, but the group will be accepting donations and offering raffle tickets to raise money for the senior scholarships the association will be offering each year.
