Gun, baby, gun?
1:58 p.m. — West Granada Boulevard and Clyde Morris Boulevard. Weapons complaint. The victim said a male suspect driving a white Mercedes-Benz tailgated her on Granada Boulevard from Clyde Morris Boulevard to Halifax Drive, so she did not move over to let him pass, and then she jammed on the brakes. The victim said the suspect finally passed her and displayed a black gun before turning left onto Halifax Drive. She took a picture of the suspect’s tag and called 911.
The officer contacted the registered owner of the Mercedes, who said his son has the vehicle. He said he does not own a gun and his son does not own a gun. The son said the victim was driving slowly and, when he passed her, he raised his arm and said “forget” you. There was no evidence that a gun was displayed.

Give 10, get 100
8:58 p.m. — 300 Block of West Granada Boulevard. Fraud. The suspect purchased a prepaid Visa credit card at a grocery store and put $300 on it using three $100 bills. The clerk checked the bills with a special pen and they checked out properly, so suspect left.
While counting the cash later, though, it was discovered the three $100 bills were actually $10 bills that had been washed clean and reprinted. The bills had the hologram that was correct for a $10 bill. Two of the bills had the same serial number. The video of the transaction was entered into evidence.

Men at play
7:05 p.m. — 100 Block of Business Center Drive. Suspicious Incident. The business owner saw a white pickup enter the parking lot of her business. When she looked out the door to see who it was, they turned off their lights and drove out of the lot then stopped just north of her business.
Later, the victim's surveillance cameras captured three males jumping her fence and running around in the playground area around 3 a.m. They jumped the fence again and left in a vehicle.
The victim said she could not see what they were doing because it was dark. The police and the owner checked the playground and did not see anything out of place.
The business owner said a disgruntled employee had quit a week ago. She requested extra patrols of her business.
