All bottled up
11:43 p.m. First Block of Black Alder Drive. Larceny, motor vehicle.
A man said someone broke into his 2002 Ford pickup while it was parked in his driveway. He’d left a back window open — just an inch, he said — and returned to his car to find his prescription medications and about $5 in loose change missing in action.
The thief had emptied bottles of Hydrocodone and other medications, which the victim stored in his glove box to keep them out of the hands of children in the house.
The victim had already moved things around inside the truck, but the deputy dusted the bottles for prints. The truck couldn’t be dusted because of condensation.
Out-gunned
3:45 p.m. 1000 Block of Justice Lane.
A deputy responded to Justice Lane after a report of a vehicle larceny that occurred on the first block of Ryecliffe Drive, sometime between 8 p.m. and 4 a.m. Nov. 11.
Someone entered the victim's unlocked vehicle and stole a Springfield SD-9 9mm semi-automatic pistol with an unloaded 12-round magazine, two fully-loaded 16-round magazines, a set of keys, a camera bag and two two-gigabytte memory cards.

Is that a box of chocolates in your pocket or ...
5:40 p.m. 5000 block of Belle Terre Parkway. Larceny shoplifting.
A store manager saw a man shove a box of Russell Stover’s chocolates inside his pants then walk out without paying, so the manager confronted the man outside, escorted him back inside, into his office, and called the Sheriff’s Office.
The box of chocolates cost $4. 29. The suspect told the deputy he was on probation and hadn’t been thinking clearly because he had a cold.
The deputy arrested him for shoplifting and took him to the Flagler County jail.
