In this edition of Cops Corner: A garbage-diver shops past the curb; rascals move some stepping stones; a couple is crazy for freebies; a pita gets pocketed; and, a gentlemen gets robbed after a stop at a gentlemen's club.

Dec. 2
Nice bike; I'll take it!
7:56 a.m. — 800 Block of Lucerne Circle. Theft/Bicycle. The victim said his son left his bicycle outside toward the end of the driveway, about 10 feet from where the garbage gets collected, and a neighborhood teen called the victim’s son to say he saw an older blue van pull up in front of the house and, after it left, the bike was gone.
The officer noted that it was possible the van's driver thought the bike was out for pickup. The victim stated the bike was in fair condition, about a year old, with a rusted chain and no grips on the handle bars. The victim stated he would like to get the bike back but did not wish to pursue charges.
Dec. 2
Rock then roll out
11:33 a.m. — 10 Block of Waterbluff Drive. Suspicious Incident. The victim reported that someone had moved some of the stepping stones and landscape borders that he had piled by his garage door. The items were placed against the door and in the grass.
There were no pry marks on the door and it was still locked. The victim stated his dog barked in the early morning, but he didn’t see anything.
Dec. 2
Live free or go crazy
3:58 p.m. — 100 Block of East Granada Boulevard. Trespassers. A man and his wife came to a vacation club and attempted to watch a presentation under a different name to get a gift. The victim said he remembered them from last February, and when he said they couldn't watch the presentation again, he said the suspect “started going crazy.”
The couple was banned from the business and said they wouldn't come back.
Dec. 3
Pita pocket
12:12 a.m. — 500 Block of South Atlantic Avenue. Shoplifting. The store manager said he saw the suspect enter the store, but video surveillance shows the suspect take a drink out of a cooler. The suspect then conceals a turkey pita sandwich in his pocket then goes to the counter and pays for the drink but not the sandwich.
The manager asked the suspect if he stole anything, and the suspect said, “No,” and then he pulled out the contents of his left pants pocket but not the contents of the right one.
The suspect then left the store and couldn't be located. The sandwich was valued at $3.89.
Dec. 2
Night out cost $302 extra
11:16 a.m. — 900 Block of South Atlantic Avenue. Fraud. The victim stated that $203 was taken from his savings account, withdrawn from an ATM at a bank, at 3:55 a.m. He said he had last used the card earlier that night at a gentleman’s club in Daytona Beach.
He said he was still in possession of the card.
