Dude, where’s my Xbox?
6:05 p.m. 100 block of Parkview Drive. Burglary.
A woman came home Wednesday to realize someone had broken into her home and stolen her son’s Xbox 360, about 10 Xbox games and her laptop. The value of the stolen items was about $1,100.
She said she had left the home’s rear sliding door unlocked to let her daughter in from school.
The family has a guard dog, and the woman thinks the dog would have bitten any intruder it didn’t know. The deputy at the scene dusted for fingerprints and lifted one semi-visible print, which was submitted into evidence.

Gunning for your TVs
2:46 p.m. First block of Bellmore Place. Burglary.
A resident some someone broke into his home and stole a black Sig-Sauer.40 caliber handgun, a 48-inch Sony TV, a 38-inch Samsung TV and a Samsung Blu-ray player.
There was no sign of forced entry, but a back sliding door was slightly ajar, and the victim thought he’d left it locked.
One neighbor said a man she didn’t know had come to her home and peered into it that morning, and then rang the bell, but she didn’t answer. She couldn’t describe of the man and didn’t know if he had arrived in a vehicle.
Oh, free gun! (Forget the truck)
12:02 p.m. First block of Faith Lane. Burglary.
The victim called the Sheriff’s Office after realizing someone stole his Taurus .38 special revolver from his unlocked 2011 Ford pickup truck.
He noticed the theft the night before, about 7 p.m., when he arrived home from work and moved the gun from its usual spot in the center console to beneath the driver’s seat. He headed back out to lock the truck at about 9 p.m.
The victim said nothing else was disturbed inside the truck, and neighbors said they hadn’t seen anything out of the ordinary.
