Suburban pirates!?
4:59 p.m. — 500 Block of Sandy Oaks Boulevard. Suspicious Incident. While looking out her window, the victim saw two men in a paddle boat with a trolling motor, although one of the men was paddling. Later that day, she noticed that her paddle boat, which had been tied to the dock, was missing.
She went across the lake to investigate and, there it was: She found her boat tied to a tree. She and her husband returned it to their dock, but they weren't sure if it was stolen, or if young men were just playing in it.

Backhoe drivers don't apologize
11:24 a.m. — 700 Block of Riverside Drive. Civil Complaint. The suspect drove right over the victim's surveying equipment with a backhoe, and since the suspect was not being cooperative, the suspect wanted the incident documented.
The suspect didn't try to deny it: Sure, he said, he ran over the equipment, but the victim shouldn't have placed it behind him when he was working.
They each wrote statements for their insurance companies.

Breaking and entering: hilarious
9:45 p.m. — First Block of Park Place. Burglary. The victim's front door was unlocked when she returned home, and inside, several items were out of place, although nothing was missing. An upstairs window was also open.
She said she thinks someone entered the window and exited through the front door and that someone is “messing with her.”
