Suburban pirates!?
4:59 p.m. — 500 Block of Sandy Oaks Boulevard. Suspicious Incident. While looking out her window, the victim saw two men in a paddle boat with a trolling motor, although one of the men was paddling. Later that day, she noticed that her paddle boat, which had been tied to the dock, was missing.
She went across the lake to investigate and, there it was: She found her boat tied to a tree. She and her husband returned it to their dock, but they weren't sure if it was stolen or if young men were just playing in it.

Wasted away again?
7:26 p.m. — 1900 Block of West Granada Boulevard. Disturbance. The stylist said the suspect and her mother came into the salon, and while the suspect was in the chair, the mother went next door to get margaritas and bring them to the suspect. They were there long enough to get intoxicated and, toward the end of the cut, the suspect started nodding off. The stylist said he could no longer cut her hair because she could not stay awake.
The stylist said both women got upset and started arguing with him, until he called police. But he didn't want the customers banned from the shop — just for them to have a safe ride home. A friend responded and picked them up.

6:06 p.m. — 400 Block of South Yonge Street. Burglary of Conveyance. The victim left work and went to her car to find the passenger window smashed and her purse missing. She said the purse was an older, dark brown Liz Claiborne model with a flap, but the only thing inside were religious paper fliers, titled “Watch Tower," which she hands out to people.
She said the items have no monetary value. The officer told her to check with the station the next day to see if her purse had been found.

For sale: Barbie Power Wheels; Price: meth
4:54 p.m. – 10 Block of Byron Ellinor Drive. Theft. The victim's son’s Barbie Power Wheels Jeep was last seen in the front yard, parked under her front bedroom window. But when she went outside the next morning, she says, it was gone.
She told the officer that she suspects her ex-boyfriend stole the jeep it to give to a friend of his, because the friend had approached her previously and offered meth for the toy jeep. She declined the offer and the friend said, “That’s OK, (your ex-boyfriend) will steal anything for some meth.”
The jeep was purchased two years ago for $298.

After waiting an hour, the victim returned to the motel where he discovered several of his possessions missing, including a $500 laptop, an $599 iPad and a $50 router. The desk clerk said no one from the motel had been in the room. The victim said he wanted to press charges if the suspect is located.

Put this case to bed
1:55 p.m. — 600 Block of South Nova Road. Suspicious incident. An Ormond Beach woman told police someone entered her apartment and stole a metal post from the footboard of her bed, and nothing else.
She believed a maintenance worker had done it to get back at her for complaints she'd made about his work, according to reports. The woman also suspects the maintenance worker “placed a flea on her cat one time."
The worker told police he doesn’t go into the woman’s room because of false accusations she has made against him.
After checking the woman’s room, the officer did not believe a burglary had taken place.
