Country free, but not motels

The officer woke the suspect up and asked why he was sleeping there, and the suspect answered that it was a free country. The officer told him he was not a guest so he was not welcome.

Water you complaining about
6:17 a.m. — 100 Block of John Anderson Drive. Information. The victim said that, during the night, her neighbors hooked up their hose to her house to fill their pool. The officer found that the hose did not lead to the pool but was hooked up to the hose bib on the neighbor’s house.
The neighbor told the officer that an employee from the city’s water department came by the night before about 9:20 p.m. and hooked up the hose to keep his house charged because the water had been turned off to his house due to construction on the street.
The officer returned to the victim’s home and explained. She said she was upset because that morning she walked around the house and tripped over the hose and fell. She said she was concerned that the city did not contact her.
The officer contacted the water department maintenance supervisor, who confirmed the hoses were connected. He said the water meters were removed so the parties involved would not be charged for the water used.
