Lea Stokes, the former chairwoman of the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates, was arrested Sunday and charged with DUI, according to a Flagler Beach police report.
Stokes, 53, was driving near North Central Avenue around 8:13 p.m., in Flagler Beach. She said she was trying to get to a Super Bowl party, but got lost, the report states.
The deputy administered four field sobriety tests. Stokes provided two breath samples of .162 and .167 on a breathalyzer test — .08 is the legal limit.
During the incident, Stokes asked the deputy to call two city officials “so they could come down and assist her in putting this behind her so she could go home,” according to the report.
Stokes was previously arrested in January 2001 for resisting arrest without violence and disorderly conduct, and in July 2002 for DUI with property damage, according Debra Johnson, spokeswoman for the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
