Softball: Matanzas edges New Smyrna Beach
The Matanzas Lady Pirates softball team clipped New Smyrna Beach, 3-2, on Tuesday.
Christina Reynolds and Amber Johnson each had a hit and an RBI.
Matanzas and NSB both had four hits.
Nicole Breen (1-0) was the winning pitcher.

Lady Bulldogs tennis shuts out Atlantic
Flagler Palm Coast defeated Atlantic, 6-0.

Horseshoe tourney coming to Flagler
The Flagler County Horseshoe Pitching Club will be sponsoring the Braggers Tournament Friday, Feb. 22, a competition between Florida and Georgia horseshoe clubs.
The tournament will be held at the new Flagler County Horseshoe facility, located at Old Dixie County Park, 1250 Old Dixie Highway (turn on Old Dixie east off U.S. 1, at Korona. The park is on the right.)
There will be between 250 and 300 horseshoe pitchers competing in the tournament, according to Carl Laundrie, communications managers for the county.
The facility was certified by the National Horseshoe Pitching Association last year and features 18 courts.

Grace Community Food Pantry golf tournament: March 2
The Grace Community Food Pantry will hold a “Feeding Flagler” golf tournament 8:30 a.m. Saturday, March 2, at the Pine Lakes Golf Course.
Registration begins at 7 a.m.
Cost is $69 per golfer. There will be a longest drive contest, closest to pin challenge and a hole-in-one shootout for a car.
Money raised will go toward feeding Flagler County families.
