Cat attack

9:44 a.m. — 100 Block of Woodland Avenue. Animal Complaint. Three pit bulls dug under a fence into a neighboring yard, when the dogs' owner called the police to help retrieve them.

While the owner and the officer took the dogs back into the yard, they discovered a dead cat, wet with slobber and with several puncture wounds.

The owner said she believed her dog, Meat Head, killed the cat, since he had shown aggression toward cats in the past. The cat was wrapped in a blanket and taken to the police station until its owner could be contacted.

The owner told police Meat Head’s rabies vaccinations had expired several days prior.
