Grace Academy hosted a Family Fun Day last weekend, at The Casements.

Grace Academy's Family Fun Day Saturday, Feb. 16, was a success, according to Director Christian Dickinson, in that it made his school just a little more public, as well as made the public just a little more aware of his school.
"Coming out in our community and having a free event for families ... is a great thing for families here and everybody in Ormond Beach," Dickinson said.
Families, along with volunteers, faculty, staff and kids from the K-8 school enjoyed the The Casements grounds, where a bounce house, inflatable slide, carnival games and face-painting reigned supreme.
A D.J. also blasted music to offer those waiting in line something to move to.
Dickinson says Grace Academy couldn't run without the help of its parents, and so the Family Fun Day was just one event of many that the school sponsors. There are also camping trips and Thanksgiving feasts, which sometimes draw more families than the school has students.
"Thats one of the neat things about having a small, family school," Dickinson says.
Dickinson hopes to make the Family Fun Day an annual event in Ormond Beach.
