The Best Advice I Ever Got: Amanda Rushton

I play for Flagler Fast Softball, and my most recent coach gave me the best advice. When I was shortstop, I would miss the ball several times. I had bad games and good games. My coach always said,

“You can’t change the past; focus on the future.”

You can drop every single ball that comes to you, but you can’t change it. Focus on the next play. This can relate to other subjects: bad grades, missing the target in archery and wrong notes in band. You can’t change what happened, but you can change what’s coming up.
