The best advice I ever got was unless you are Tiger Woods, you’re probably not good enough to get mad.
As a golf coach, I see students get mad frequently. I have to remind the students that they aren’t to the level of getting mad about their scores just yet. Also, when I am on the golf course, I have to remind myself not to get mad if I don’t play very well.
I have visited nursing homes after playing golf and realized some of those men would give anything just to be out there. My reaction to playing badly and getting mad about it was put into perspective. Be thankful for what you have.
